AnalystAnalyst

As an analyst in the Danske Bank Group you contribute to influencing management, colleagues and customers’ information level and decision making basis. Analysts always work in smaller groups in which they are responsible for, and solve, independent research assignments; they also contribute to larger group or department projects, strategies, tools, reports or research.

Analysts are employed throughout the Group, but mostly in Danske Markets, Danske Capital and Group Finance. However, there are analysts working in a variety of other departments such as Group Cash Management. Analysts generally work both for the Danish and overseas groups in the department.

A good start to your career as specialist or manager
For recent graduates within economics and financing a job as an analyst is often the first step on a career path with the Danske Bank Group. Most applicants have a higher education in economics such as an MA in economics, BSc in economics and BCom in mathematics and a good knowledge of it tools and programming languages. When they first join, new recruits are able to take part in our systematic and professional mentoring process between young and experienced analysts. This also helps to clarify your career path – whether you want to develop yourself as a specialist and go on to become a senior analyst or, for example, become the manager of a group in the department.

Analysts in Danske Bank have special expertise
As an analyst you will utilise and hone your knowledge of economic conditions and the financial markets. Our analysts have independent attitudes and are capable of documenting their decisions and communicating their analysis results to a range of target groups and media.

An analyst is not merely adept at seeing through and dealing with numbers and economic trends. Your personal skills will also greatly help to steer your results because you must think rationally, have a good instinct for structure and be good at discovering new angles of approach. You make use of your own initiative to develop quality and ensure both a strategic approach and a detailed account of your work.
