Screening guidelines

We screen our investment portfolios according to internationally recognised norms and standards for human rights, arms, working conditions, the environment and anti-corruption:

• UN Human Rights Norms for Business (2003)
  
• UN Global Compact (1999)
  
  
• OECD Guidelines for Multinational Enterprises (1976)
  

We also take into account eight additional international conventions relevant to the development of SRI since 2003:

• The UN Convention against Corruption
  
  
• The Draft Framework Convention on International Arms Transfers
   
• The Convention on the Prohibition of the Use, Stockpiling, Production and Transfer of Anti-Personnel Mines and Their Destruction
  
  
• The Convention on Prohibitions or Restrictions on the Use of Certain Conventional Weapons Which May Be Deemed to be Excessively Injurious or to Have Indiscriminate Effects
  
  
• The UN Framework Convention on Climate Change (including the Kyoto Protocol)
  
  
• The Montreal Protocol on Substances that Deplete the Ozone Layer
  
  
• The Stockholm Convention on Persistent Organic Pollutants
  
  
• The Convention on Cluster Munitions
