When we conduct risk assessments, we consider it a good policy to hold an in-depth dialogue only with suppliers that may pose high social or environmental risks. We do not wish to inconvenience all of our suppliers with unnecessary questions and tedious processes. Our process for assessing suppliers therefore consists of several steps.
Process of risk assessment of suppliers
The overall process of risk assessment and dialogue with suppliers consists of six steps. When a supplier registers with us, we ask them three questions. We use their answers for the initial risk classification. The company can be categorised as low, medium or high risk on the basis of various criteria, for example. geographical location and industry. If we estimate that the company has high risk, we start a dialogue about responsibility.
