Stress managementStress management

At Danske Bank we recognise that stress is a mutual problem for the Group and its employees. Both are adversely affected by sickness and burnout. And the capacity to solve the problem also lies with both parties. The Group therefore supports the development of a proactive culture of stress prevention.

In 2007, the Group introduced a stress management policy formalising the way we prevent and handle stress. We also developed an anti-stress kit that provides employees and managers with tools for jointly addressing problems when they arise. These measures are intended to enable both managers and employees to handle stress in a proactive manner.

The toolbox, available online to all employees, comprises three sets of advice and tools targeted at the various actions and information needed before, during and after a stress episode. Finally, the stress management programme includes access to a stress management hotline.

The stress management policy was implemented in the Danish units in 2007. In 2008, we will evaluate the experiences and prepare group-wide implementation.
