The first group recently completed the Danske Bank Group's Women in Progress programme for female employees with executive potential. We launched the programme in 2007 to increase attention on the management potential of the Group's female staff. The programme has been very successful: so far, 11 out of the first group of 19 participants have managerial positions, and more are on the way.
Preparing for the future
Mette Skovgaard Nielsen, one of the employees who enrolled in the programme, has experienced a year focussed on personal development and a new job as a manager. A month after the programme had started, she took up a position as a sales manager with Danica Pension.
“Women in Progess was a fantastic experience,” Mette Skovgaard Nielsen says. “The programme provided me with a solid platform for my future career and helped me identify and document my leadership talent. Women in progress really boosted my career and brought me what is now my dream job.
"The network of women employees and my internal mentor have been invaluable sources of inspiration and have helped me understand my management style.”
The 2008 Women in Progress group will start in September.
