The activities of the Danske Bank Group affect the environment in various ways.
Since 2006, the Group’s environmental efforts have been focused on managing the direct environmental impact of our activities in Denmark, Norway, Sweden, Ireland and Northern Ireland. In 2009, we will continue this effort and extend the environmental management system to our operations in Finland.
Meeting the climate change challenge
In the years ahead, the Group will make climate change our key environmental focus. We therefore launched a climate strategy in late 2007. The strategy focuses on our ability to confront the climate challenge in our financial business and operations and through dialogue with stakeholders. The strategy was updated in 2008 to concretise how we intend to reach our climate goals.
On these pages you find our environmental goals and data as well as information about our efforts to reach carbon neutrality by the end of 2009.
