Energy from rice husksEnergy from rice husks

The Danske Bank Group invests in carbon credits from a Voluntary Carbon Standard project located in Bilaspur, Cattisgarh, India. The objective of the project is to produce energy from rice husks, a waste product from rice mills. Rice husks are a previously unused biomass resource for generating energy.

The project will help to remedy the electricity shortfall in the local grid and will contribute to economic growth and sustainable development in the area. It will also reduce the consumption of non-renewable fuels and thus limit carbon emissions.
