Gold Standard wind power projectGold Standard wind power project

The Danske Bank Group invests in Gold Standard carbon credits from a wind power plant located near Istanbul, Turkey. It will consist of 20 wind turbines with a capacity of 3.0 MW each. The purpose of the project is to generate electricity for the public grid and replace electricity generated from conventional power stations based on fossil fuels.

The project will thus reduce CO2 emissions as well as emissions of other pollutants such as SO2 and NOx. It will also create additional employment opportunities for the local population, stimulate the growth of the wind power industry in Turkey and help reduce the country's energy deficit.
