The Danske Bank Group uses teleconferencing to reduce its environmental impact and CO2 emissions.

Teleconference rooms are designed for meetings that allow large savings on travel expenses because they take place between business units in different countries. Meetings in teleconference rooms can thus help to reduce the Group's CO2 emissions.
The Group has invested in 27 teleconference rooms. In 2011, they were used for 4,350 meetings and saved 1,666 tons of CO2.
TelePresence meetings had their debut in the preparations for the migration of the Sampo Bank at Easter 2008, when people involved in the project were able to use studios in Copenhagen and Helsinki.
Since late 2008, the studios have been available to all the employees in the Group. This has lead to an even greater use of the studios.
