eMeetingseMeetings

eMeetings are available to all Danske Bank Group employees. The tool can be used internally in the Group and externally involving both customers and external suppliers. Each eMeeting participant links up via his or her PC and is in contact with the other participants via the screen and a telephone or PC headset.

Visual contact makes eMeetings more useful for complex issues than conference calls. In many cases, eMeetings can also be used instead of physical meetings, and this has a very positive impact on the environment. 

For example, having an eMeeting instead of a conventional meeting between a person in Bangalore, India, and a person in Copenhagen, Denmark, will lower CO2 emissions by 902 kg per person.

The Danske Bank Group uses eMeetings as a means of communication between India and Denmark because the Group has outsourced a number of IT projects to Bangalore. The Group is actively working to expand the use of eMeetings to all Group units.
