In 2006 and early 2007, Danske Bank identified the amount of ozone-depleting substances used in the more than 200 cooling systems installed in the head offices and branches in Denmark.
The substances are recirculated in closed systems and thus cause little pollution. But there are sometimes emissions from the cooling systems, so Danske Bank has decided to phase out ozone-depleting substances over a number of years.
The identification of the amount of these substances provides a basis for the Group’s structured efforts to phase out ozone-depleting substances. In future, we will report on the amounts that have been phased out.
