In 2008, the Danish Parliament adopted an amendment requiring the 1,100 largest Danish companies to account for their corporate responsibility policies, activities and results. The account must be included in the management review section of the annual report or appear in a separate report or on the company’s Web site. If the business has joined the UN Global Compact or Principles for Responsible Investment, it may simply refer to the progress report that members of these associations are required to prepare.
At the Danske Bank Group, we have supported the UN Global Compact since 2007. To meet the statutory requirements, we therefore refer to our Global Compact Communication on Progress report (COP).
