Community grantsCommunity grants

As part of its commitment to the communities in which it operates, most Danske Bank Group retail banks offer grants to not-for-profit organisations operating at a local level. Eligible for support are charitable, not-for-profit, voluntary and community organisations involved in one of three areas: knowledge, culture and sport. The purpose of the grants is to enhance the knowledge or skills of the local community. All projects must take place in the local community, must be open to the general public and must benefit as many people as possible.

On average the banks award grants worth from €500 to €10,000. Among the projects supported in 2008 by the community grants are special events in schools, special guest lectures during a community week, theatre performances, music festivals and a youth sport coaching masterclass.
