Money Talks at Northern BankMoney Talks at Northern Bank

Money Talks is an award-winning partnership developed by Northern Bank and Citizens Advice, with input from the Curriculum Council in Northern Ireland (CCEA).  The programme supports the teaching of personal finance in the curriculum.  Money Talks is aimed at youth workers and teachers working with young people aged 11 to 17.  The kit was introduced in 2003 and re-launched in 2008 by the Commissioner for Children and Young People in Northern Ireland.

Staff volunteering
Money Talks now includes new media resources and updated materials, including a DVD drama, an interactive money management PC game and practical money management activities for use in the classroom or informal youth work settings. As an important part of the programme, a volunteer from Northern Bank or Citizens Advice presents the material to the young people, promotes discussion and offers instruction to help those taking part learn important money management skills in a fun way.
