In January 2012, the Danske Bank Group signed a sponsorship agreement with the Math Centre (Matematikcenter), a volunteer organisation in Denmark and Sweden. The reason for the Group's collaboration is that the Math Centre offers free homework assistance to young people in math and personal finance.

Since 2007, the Group has worked to promote financial literacy among children and young people through educational platforms such as Moneyville and Control Your Money.
Our Financial Literacy Programme is central to our corporate responsibility work, so it is a logical extension of our own initiatives to support other financial literacy projects.
In Denmark, only students in Copenhagen can benefit from homework assistance at present, but the goal is to offer homework assistance in eight cities in across the country within three years.
The project originated in Sweden
The original initiative of volunteer homework assistance began in Sweden in 2008 under the name Mattecentrum. The Swedish organisation operates in 12 cities and is currently used by 40,000 children and young people. The Group is also one of the main sponsors of Mattcentrum.
