As one of the leading financial groups in Denmark and in the Nordic region, the Danske Bank Group is well aware of the need to ensure that its employees always comply with the rules on competition. For this purpose, the Group has implemented an extensive compliance programme.

The Danske Bank Group wants to take advantage of its size in its endeavours to attract new customers, but it also wants to compete fairly.

Danish competition rules, which are based on EU rules, apply the principle of prohibition. Specifically, they prohibit the following:

  • anti-competitive agreements
  • abuse of a dominant position

Companies that violate a prohibition are fined, and any associated agreements are declared void.
