CompetitionCompetition

Heading one of the leading financial groups in Denmark and in the Nordic region, the management of the Danske Bank Group is very conscious of ensuring that its staff members always comply with the rules of competition. For this purpose, the Group has implemented an extensive compliance programme.

The Danske Bank Group wants to take advantage of its size in its endeavours to attract new customers, but it also wants to compete fairly.

Danish competition rules, which are based on EU rules, apply the principle of prohibition. This means that two things are prohibited:

  • anti-competition agreements
  • abuse of a dominant position

Anyone who violates a prohibition is fined and any associated agreements are declared void.

Compliance programme
The Danske Bank Group has implemented an extensive compliance programme to ensure that it complies with the competition rules. The programme consists of rules of behaviour, policies and directions.
