International developments in corporate governance provide ideas and background information for the Danske Bank Group management. In certain cases, however, the conditions that are discussed and set forth in legislation in other countries have already been treated by Danish legislation.
The Danske Bank Group is a public limited company, and that means that special requirements apply to the management structure, the influence of the shareholders and the protection of minority owners, among other things.
As a financial enterprise, the Group is also subject to other regulations, including specific requirements for governing bodies, internal controls and regular reporting to the Danish Financial Supervisory Authority, among other things.
Finally, as a listed company, the Danske Bank Group is subject to stock market rules.
