Are you interested in creating a solid basis for your further development? The Danske Bank Group is now seeking 18 graduate trainees for a one-year programme starting September 1, 2008. The deadline for applications for the graduation trainee programme is March 30, 2008.
A programme focusing on networking and knowledge of the Group
Why become a graduate trainee? Why not just start in a regular job right away? The advantage of the graduate trainee programme is that you get a unique network and valuable knowledge of a large organisation that you just can’t get from a regular job. That
knowledge is worth its weight in gold when you need to make decisions about your further career. Anders Hartlev, 29, of Group Finance, says of the programme:
“During the graduate trainee programme I worked in, for example, Group Accounts, Investor Relations and Business Analysis. I also worked in Norway and London. In other words, I had the opportunity to try a lot of different areas and build an invaluable network. Towards the end of the programme, I was invited to an interview with my boss, which led to a job as an analyst. And today I am a Senior Analyst.”
At least two periods in other units in Denmark and abroad
Just like Anders Hartley, all graduate trainees spend at least two periods in other units in Denmark and abroad and follow a joint programme with courses and presentations of the different parts of the Group. The goal is to develop your talent so that you become a highly qualified employee. We achieve this by challenging you with new tasks, increasing
responsibility and courses.
After the programme
As a graduate trainee you will be employed by one of the Group's Danish areas within finance, communication, HR, legal matters, business development, auditing or funding. This is where you typically will continue your career when you have finished the programme. On completion of the year-long programme you will have created a solid basis for your future career, be highly familiar with the entire Group and be able to manage large projects within your area of expertise.
