Danske Bank has a 50-year history with the mainframe platform and it is the backbone of the service we provide to customers and users. We are currently taking over the responsibility for operations and maintenance from our service provider. Therefore, we are seeking an experienced System Programmer for our mainframe MQ and CICS team. Is that you?
As one of our Mainframe System Programmers, you will be part of a team who will be responsible for building, developing and maintaining the Mainframe Systems. This is done with focus on systems performing as efficiently and reliably as possible. Based on a rooted principle of cloned applications on cloned systems we are delivering availability and performance as required by the bank 24/7.
Currently we are running the biggest parallel sysplex in the region where the main architectural design point is: cloned system setup, cloned infrastructure and cloned applications. This setup is also key to providing resiliency and minimizing outage time.
We are looking for a professional with solid system programming experience. To be able to fill this role you are experienced in installing and maintaining software products as well as being a contact point for the remaining organisation in using the software in an efficient way. Your main responsibility will be MQ. Therefore, MQ experience is preferred, but not a prerequisite to apply. You have also been working with problem determination in both the system and application area. We want you to challenge the way we are doing things on the mainframe and come up with suggestions for improvement. Your main drivers are to improve the systems at every opportunity for the benefit of the bank and the customers.
You will be joining a highly experienced team of specialist in system programming. It is a global team with members in different locations of Danske Bank. The team is currently preparing the take over of responsibilities and will in future be the system department handling all software products. We strive every day to solve problems, enhance the use of the software and optimize performance of the system. Among our qualified co-workers, you will be able to develop both personally and professionally.
