We in Danske Bank are looking for an experienced back-end .NET Software Engineer to help us create fast and intuitive digital welcoming processes. Is that you?

You will be joining Welcoming Customer Journey Area, a newly established Copenhagen-based area. The position is a unique opportunity to contribute to a non-traditional banking development set-up characterized by start-up culture, high pace, collaboration, flat hierarchy and testing out new agile ways of working all with focus of delivering the best digital solutions for our customers. To do this we need bright minds and highly motivated collaborative individuals with pioneer spirit and a courage to challenge the way we work and do things.

As our Software Engineer, your role will be to design, build, and deploy for high performance, reliability and scalability. You will understand how the end-to-end stack works – from Danske Bank’s mainframe platform over middle-tier business logic using micro services, to the API layer and the UI. You will work closely together with the development teams lead architect, front-end and back-end software engineers and business analysts as well as user experience specialists and people understanding the customer and business needs – all co-located.

To be able to perform in the role we believe you have a university degree e.g. in Computer Science or Engineering. You are experienced in back-end .NET development covering all phases from design and build to deploy and run. You also have a desire to learn front-end development to become full-stack. Your greatest assets are your passion, agile mind-set, creative problem solving skills and your ability to self-organize, take initiative and responsibility. Moreover, work autonomously with the mandate to move fast and do things differently – you dare to fail and learn from it. Furthermore, your abilities to put the customers first, collaborate with many different types of people, challenge ideas, seek feedback, be transparent in what you know/can and your eagerness to learn from others are essential.

Professional experience with the following is key:

     • Latest .NET Framework (C#) and Visual Studio
     • Source control systems – Git
     • REST, RESTful and micro services, and API design.

Professional experience with the following is a plus:

     • Dependency injection
     • SQL Server
     • Experience with agile setups
     • Test driven development
     • Knowledge of build and release automation tools such as Jenkins, Teamcity
     • Front-end development using React/Angular, Redux, Node.js, HTML5, CSS3, responsive design etc.

The position requires good communication skills, both written and spoken, in Danish and English.
