Gerry Mallon joined Northern Bank in 2006 as from Bank of Ireland, where he was Director in Business and Retail banking. He was previously a senior consultant at McKinsey and Co., Inc. working in London and Dublin. He is a Certified Banker and a member of the Council of the University of Ulster.

Prior to joining National Irish Bank, Andrew Healy spent eighteen years at the Ulster Bank Group where he held a number of senior management roles, culminating in his role as Managing Director of Retail Banking for Northern Ireland where he had responsibility for the bank's branch network as well as its SME and bancassurance operations. He was Chairman of the Northern Ireland Bankers Association for 2004 and 2005.
