One Bank - one platformOne Bank - one platform

The Danske Bank Group is one of the few financial companies having collected all products, processes and systems on one Group platform. Using the shared platform as our core, we can streamline and reuse products, processes and systems across national borders and brands.

The Group platform is one of the key preconditions for the Group’s growth strategies through acquisition of other financial companies. We do not just acquire banks to grow; we also want to realise the synergies inherent in consolidation on one platform. This means that we consistently integrate new banks on our shared platform.

New banks are integrated on the shared platform by adding to the Group platform the functionality the newly acquired bank has in its systems, thus actually enhancing functionality for the other parts of the Group.

Resources for integration projects are allocated separately from the general development plan. This means that the integration process runs simultaneously with planned development of the platform.

The shared platform also ensures high efficiency in development activities, as products, processes and systems only need to be developed once, then to be used across national borders and product areas. At the same time, the platform ensures differentiations, as we can flexibly interconnect solutions across markets and national borders for the individual customer.
