In 2006, the Group rolled out group management information (GMI).
In GMI, the Group has implemented a shared scaleable model for performance follow-up and analysis support. A key step in the process of centralising and standardising support to all retail banks, as retail banking should, according to the Danske Banking Concept, be considered as a uniform discipline across brands and national borders.
The intention is for GMI to support the Group’s vision through enhanced focus on customers, growth and profitability. Moreover, GMI is to underpin decentralised management, local ownership and a local profile so that the Group’s mission of “Being the best local financial partner” is fulfilled.
GMI will make it easier for local managements to gain overview of the business and determine the direction they want to pursue. The system also ranks branches with comparable branches according to performance in a range of areas, so that the branches can learn from the best.
GMI elements comprise, for instance, a presentation of a range of key figures in a balanced scorecard together with the option of monitoring branch/region financial development and performance in the branch P/L.
