It was something of a coincidence that I ended up in the pensions business. I applied for various traineeships in the financial sector and got hired by Danica Pension. After my trainee period, I looked for work elsewhere and worked for Nordea Pension for four years and for the consultancy firm Mercer before returning to Danica Pension. I came back because I like the culture and the hallway jargon.

At Danica Pension, your opinion is appreciated when you discuss the challenges of day-to-day work and we always have the tools we need.
Flexible job
I have a very flexible job. It allows me to do many things together with my family, and I appreciate that. I also play badminton, ski and run. In 2009, I finished my first marathon in three hours and 45 minutes.
Partner for high-income earners
My job as chief adviser consists in providing all-in advice to managers and business owners. We discuss pension savings, real property investment, business set-up, tax planning and much more.
I am their consultant and help them get an overview of their financial situation, for example in case of illness, death or retirement – that’s when I can make a difference.
Always with a smile
My job requires drive and flexibility. If it suits the customer best to meet late at night or early in the morning, I have to be there. Empathy is also important, I have to understand the customer’s or the company’s situation. And perhaps the most important thing: to meet everyone with a smile – if I didn’t, my job would be tough.
Setting new goals
I constantly seek new challenges – at work as well as in my private life. When I feel that I have been to every corner of my job, I try to add new things together with my manager.
I always have goals and leave little to chance. That’s just the way I am. I do what I believe in, whether it is running a marathon in a specific time or setting a target for the number of customer meetings I want to have.
An organisation with ears
The atmosphere is good at Danica Pension. We have a good corporate culture that allows us to say what we think. There are always possibilities, although, of course, a company as large as ours applies many standard concepts.
I focus on voicing my ideas for better customer service and internal processes. For me, that is part of working in an organisation that pays attention to what you say.
