Creating good results is not a one woman show. To do the job it is important to have a very good team around you. As a manager my job is to make everyone perform at their best and make sure that the group functions well. But this is easy in my case because my employees are so competent.

To be a manager was not a goal in itself
To be a manager is not the most important to me. The position is a challenge and carries a significant responsibility, which I like. But the most important for me is to be able to work with what I like together with good colleagues. If you approach you work with commitment, the opportunities follow. So my advice to others who want to work the same way as I do is to be visible and give the right signals, dedicate yourselves to your work and show what you can.

Strategic and conceptual development
I work with strategic and conceptual development of products and advisory concepts. This is an area that changes constantly. Both because we change, and because the clients and their needs move change all the time. Today's development is fast, and it is necessary for us to move forward together with the clients and find our place in relation to our competitors. As part of a Nordic group, I for instance work with Danish, Norwegian and Finnish colleagues within the same area.

A bank that is focused on relations
Before coming to Danske Bank I worked in another private business, so to speak at the other side of the best. On this background I am able today to understand the clients and their needs. What interested me about the bank was its focus on relations and development of new services. This is an innovative bank.

Creative energy
I have a lot of visions, and I want to develop and be committed to my job. This is not a sacrifice, but on the other hand is a great satisfaction to know that we can be in the forefront and that I can be part of it. A few years ago only four or five banks worked the way we do. Now, many do, and the competition has become stronger. This is a challenge, but also exciting all the time to be among the best.

Important to be a total supplier
The tighter the competition, the more important it has become to be a total supplier for the client. It is an advantage for us to be part of a big, multi-branded company, which offers a wide range of services. But being good does not mean that you can not improve. The development, being innovative and creating great products, motivates me a lot.

Possible to use your talent
The best thing about the bank is that it creates opportunities for developing myself in collaboration with the bank and its clients. I could also work in a smaller company, but what Danske Bank offers is that it is focused on the employees, support and value them, and strive to create best practice.

Leisure: In the weekends and vacations I spend a lot of time in my cabin. This is a complete contrast to my everyday worklife – I spend the entire day outdoors and enjoy the silence, and I can look across the sea. Otherwise I spend time with friends and family.
 

Best staff benefits: I am not that focused on benefits. This was not why I took the job, but of course it is nice to be valued as an employee, also through good having benefits.

In five years: I do not think that long term. I am where I am as long as I have the commitment. If not, I change jobs.
