Your development programme lasts 12 months, during which time you will develop your skills through a combination of specific tasks, courses and networking activities with fellow graduate trainees and colleagues throughout the Group. On completion of the programme you will be employed in a permanent job and from there on it will be up to you to decide how far you want to climb.
On-the-job training
On entering the graduate trainee programme you are employed in a specific area where you will find yourself on an equal footing with more experienced colleagues. You also spend shorter or longer periods in other departments within the Group, including departments outside Denmark. Your specific tasks and projects will challenge you professionally, in frameworks created by us that allow you to find your way round the Group, and work across the organisation.
Courses and presentations
During the programme, you participate in a comprehensive range of courses and seminars that ensure your professional and personal development. You take part in a common education programme with the other graduate trainees, featuring courses covering areas such as presentation technique. Simultaneously, you and your line manager will formulate an individual plan to establish which courses will be relevant for your particular development in your specific job.

Network
Your programme begins with a two-day introductory seminar. This is where you meet the other graduate trainees and where you lay the foundations of a strong network that you can draw on during the programme and throughout the rest of your career with the Danske Bank Group. The seminar will also serve as your introduction to the Group.
