I am implementing a concept for evaluating and improving the service customers experience in the Group’s banks. We do this by measuring and evaluating customer satisfaction. If needed, we help make changes to improve customer service. My responsibilities are Fokus Bank in Norway and Group Contact Centre. Right now I am working on a concept for evaluating customer contact via our online banking solutions.
The feeling of being able to make a difference even though the Group is so big is fantastic. It is a real motivator. Demanding tasks tend to outnumber everyday routines, but the balance between highly challenging and routine tasks is good. I often catch myself thinking about challenges and solutions in my leisure time – simply because I am so committed.

Sent an unsolicited application
In my last student job, I worked for a small firm of consultants in Århus, and Danske Bank was one of their customers. My employer at the time encouraged me to apply for a job in Danske Bank because he could see that opportunities would be good for me there. So I sent an unsolicited application, and it paid off a few months later.
A typical day at the office may involve a meeting with our contacts in the other countries and a workshop with my Norwegian colleagues. Sometimes, you need to take a diplomatic approach. At other times, it is best to make your opinion known from the start when you are working together with colleagues from other countries.
The job has a high degree of freedom, and because we are not required to register the time spent on individual tasks, there is time for creativity and for putting other things aside if you get a good idea.
Competent colleagues prove their worth
Our group consists of eight consultants with different educational qualifications and backgrounds. We work closely together, giving each other feedback and testing a variety of arguments. Organising a development process to ensure the progress of a project is very challenging, and the knowledge and support of my colleagues are very valuable if a task proves too daunting.
More energy
Finding a job that makes me feel so happy has given me an inner peace. It means that I return home with a lot of energy – even after a long day at the office.
