ControllerController

Controllers use their specialist knowledge to work on a wide range of assignments in areas such as financial management, administration, internal audit, business development, quarterly reporting, management information and results analysis.

Our controllers work as sounding boards for decision makers in the field and also coordinate with each other across the Group so that we have a common platform for validating and analysing our financial development. Many of our controllers also take part in project work as part of development projects related to financial management. Most of our controllers work in Group Finance but we recruit throughout the Group. This provides excellent opportunities to change controller area or to become the leader of a group.

A controller’s characteristics
Our controllers have a financial or accountancy background: knowledge of economics and accountancy supplemented by a theoretical education in subjects such as Bachelor of Commerce, a bachelor’s degree or a higher theoretical education at university or business school level (e.g. MA economics, BSc economics or BCom).

Our controllers have considerable responsibility and work together with other professional groups. They divide their time independently between operational and development processes and are good at meeting deadlines and managing confidential information in a professional manner.
