Our goal is to have more female managers in the Danske Bank Group. And we are making good progress, because from around 2,600 managers we have an increasing number of especially younger female managers. To further reinforce this trend we have established an ambitious development programme for female employees with leadership potential.

Actions behind the goals
This 12-month programme is how we translate the goals into actions. The programme will provide 20 of the Group’s female talents with a solid start to their career development. This will be achieved through a combination of courses, cases, mentoring projects and networking activities, all of which will help prepare the participants for their first management job. Together with the challenges of their daily work this will bring the participants an important step closer to their first leadership position.
In order to motivate more female talents to pursue a leadership career we are also actively working with the Group’s personnel policies. Consequently, we are aware that our managers should also be able to strike a sensible balance between career and private life. This can be achieved, for example, through flexible working conditions that leave plenty of time for the family and leisure.
