Whether you are employed as a manager, specialist and adviser, or in some completely different capacity, you can expect your development to be in focus. When planning your development we take your actual situation, assignments, expertise and skills into account. We are a large workplace with more than 20,000 employees, but nevertheless we are aware that all employees are different and have different development requirements.

More than just courses
The Group’s philosophy is that employee development can take many different forms. We have a sizeable internal course catalogue covering professional courses, development and management training. We also work closely with external course providers and education establishments.

Development involves much more than merely sitting employees down at a school desk. It is just as important to provide our employees with specific assignments that are both challenging and prepare them to take greater responsibility. There are is no shortage of opportunity to do this in an enterprise that is constantly in flux. It is also possible to switch jobs internally in the Group – either within the area in which you already work or to another part of the organisation.

Individual development plan
Your opportunities depend on your capabilities and naturally these dovetail with your expressed needs for your future career.

Every employee in the Group has an individual development plan, regardless of whether you are a manager or a student employee, young or experienced. The development plan is updated once a year in connection with the employee appraisal meeting with your immediate manager. For the rest of the year you and your manager are responsible for ensuring your continual development by means of a close and ongoing dialogue.
