Today, Danske Kredit has published its Interim Report for the First Half of 2000. The report is available at www.danskekredit.dk.
Selected highlights:
- Danske Kredit recorded a profit after tax of DKr126.8m for the first six months of 2000, against DKr151.4m for the same period in 1999.
- Core earnings were DKr180.6m, against DKr188.2m last year. The fall in profit is attributable to a decline in mortgage refinancing activity compared with the first half of 1999.
- Danske Kredit’s net lending to homeowners totalled DKr2.8bn, which corresponds to a market share of 17.0% of the sector’s total net lending to this segment. In terms of new loans to home buyers, the company’s market share rose from 14.4% for the whole of 1999 to 15.1% in the first half of 2000.
- Danske Kredit now offers guarantees against major interest rate hikes on variable rate loans.
