You will join the Danish team, which is part of Danske Bank’s global Depositary Service team, and be responsible for the relationship with our Danish customers concerning our depositary services and duties, which is a growth area in the Bank. Our global team consists of a great variety of highly skilled specialists with complementary competences within areas such as banking, legal, IT and finance etc. However, we are all equally dedicated and committed to cross-border collaboration and providing the best service to our customers.
Depositary Services’ objective is to provide a value-adding regulatory investor protection service to our fund customers. We achieve this by engaging in a constructive customer dialogue based on the result of our oversight of the fund activities considering the governing rules and regulation.
Focus on regulated fund customers
Your main responsibilities as a Chief Account & Risk Manager cover at least the following:
- Perform daily oversight and control duties
- Customer dialogue on all irregularities identified in the depositary oversight
- Perform risk assessment due diligence reviews on fund customers
- Support in the process of selling our services and implementing new customers
- Ongoing optimisation of work processes by increased automation
- Close cooperation with all internal and external stakeholders
As a Chief Account & Risk Manager, you need deep insight into the regulated fund space, a trained eye for detail as well as solid relationship management skills. Our new colleague is curious by nature and has a trained eye for detail together with a structured, analytical mind-set that will enable you to communicate with all levels of our fund customers’ organisation. In effect, you will engage both in constructive discussions with the operational team on specific items and in a value-adding dialogue with the senior management on an overall level. Additionally, you are a team player with great interpersonal skills, as our success as a team relies on solid cross-functional cooperation and effective communication with our fund customers.
Experience from fund industry and/or banking
We are looking for a colleague, who has a Master’s degree in Finance, Economics, or similar and with experience from banking and/or investment funds, including financial instruments and regulation (preferably AIFMD and UCITS as all our fund customers are subject to these regulatory frameworks). We would also prefere for you to have a legal background regarding the area. Proficient English and solid Excel skills are required for this position and experience with participation in IT development projects is considered a significant advantage.
