Experienced and ambitious Regulatory Controls Officer

Then here is a unique opportunity to play a central part in Danske Bank’s implementation of international financial regulation.

In this position, you will gain deep insights into the Wealth Management division of Danske Bank and our highly prioritized development of a regulatory control framework.

The team
You will be part of Wealth Management’s newly established Regulatory Control team, which is part of the COO & 1st Line Risk department. Regulatory Controls will, in the coming months and years, develop and strengthen a solid controlling and reporting setup in Wealth Management. The team is responsible for ensuring that Wealth Management lives up to regulatory requirements such as investor protection and market abuse.

The team will have a Control Framework oversight role and will advise on control related development tasks and requests, which will be specified over time. There will also be tasks that need executing daily. The team works closely together with colleagues in COO & 1st Line Risk, who consist of risk professionals, finance sector subject matter experts, project managers, process professionals and more.

The organisation of the team is global, so this role could be located in any of our offices across the Nordic region (Copenhagen area, Stockholm, Helsinki, Oslo).

The position
As a regulatory controls officer you are part of ensuring that the bank globally lives up to both existing and future regulatory requirements in the Wealth Management space such as MiFID I & II and Market Abuse.

You will participate in project work, assess new regulation and specify requirements for new processes, procedures, controls, reports and tools / system changes.
Within the different controlling areas, you will doing analysis, using tools and programmes, performing calculations, to establish data based controls. Importantly you will also be communicating and following up on the results. A key focus will be how we automate the gathering of control data and ensure strong communication and ownership in the wider Wealth Management unit.

About you
You have a master degree in Economics / Finance with an interest in operationalising regulatory requirements. You have an understanding and / or interest in the financial area of Wealth Management. You have experience in the design or operation of risk mitigating controls. You have a data driven approach and may know one or more programming tools such as SAS / SQL.

You are an ambitious ‘self-starter’, proactive, and want to make a difference. Working individually comes naturally to you, as does being a team player and good communicator. We expect that you find it easy to work globally and you enjoy working together with people across various departments and national borders.
