The process of implementing the changes that will allow registration as a swap dealer with the Commodity Futures Trading Commission (CFTC) in the US have now been completed. From 1 March, Danske Bank’s status changed from ‘pending’ to ‘provisionally registered’, confirming that the Bank will be able to operate as a swap dealer in the US.
Søren Kyhl, Head of Product Sales, Research and Quant Models, comments: “Danske Bank has a well defined derivatives strategy aimed at increasing both the size and scope of our business. The strategy is both ambitious and realistic and among other offerings is based upon best in class pricing and risk management capabilities. Successfully registering as a swap dealer in the US is a key part of helping us fulfil this strategy.”
