The international magazine Global Finance named Danske Bank number one in the Nordics at cash management among a series of awards for the bank.
Danske Bank’s offerings within transaction banking received a string of awards from the international industry publication Global Finance.
Most notably, the magazine named Danske Bank the best Nordic bank in the field of cash management while at the same time acknowledging the bank’s trade finance business.
Global Head of Transaction Banking at Danske Bank Lars Sjögren comments:
“We are very pleased with the awards, which we see as a recognition of our efforts in the past year. Most importantly, we believe that it reflects our focus on making customers’ corporate day easy.”
Nordic number one
The winners of the 2018 awards were selected by the editorial review board of Global Finance based on input from industry analysts, corporate executives and technology experts.
Within cash management, the criteria included profitability, market share and reach, customer service, competitive pricing and product innovation. Across the Nordic region, Danske Bank was awarded Best Bank for Cash Management, Best Bank for Liquidity Management and Best Bank for Payments & Collections. The awards ceremony is to take place in October at the annual SIBOS conference.
Advisory services recognised
Leena Vainiomäki heads Customer Advice & Sales, the unit that brings together Cash Management and Trade, Supply Chain & Export Finance in Transaction Banking. She adds:
“Cash management, liquidity management and payments are at the centre of what we strive to excel at in our transaction banking business. For that reason we are happy to be top-rated. We are also proud that our work in the area of working capital advisory was recognized.”
Two awards for trade finance
Global Finance also rewarded Danske Bank for its trade finance business by naming the bank Best Trade Finance Provider in Denmark and Finland for 2018. The bank received these awards at a ceremony during last week’s BAFT Global Annual Meeting in London.
In total, the bank received seven awards from Global Finance.
